About the Item

Piezas Small Dining Table by Silvia Ceñal Materials: Lacquer, Oak, metal. Dimensions: D 85 x W 85 x H 74 cm Also available in different sizes. Please contact us. The founders, Mia and Torben Koed, decided to put their 30 years of experience into a new project. It was time for a change and a new challenge. The challenge was to build an ambitious design brand from the ground up with high-quality materials and great attention to the little details. With a drive to create new originals, the WOUD collection is founded upon the idea to look ahead instead of looking back and share the love for honest design. Therefore, we are eager to discover and develop new ideas whether it being in form, function or choice of material. The Spanish Silvia Ceñal is a talented designer. Her studies in both Spain, Holland and Italy have given her a wide and varied sense and knowledge. In 2015, with a drive to mark her name in the design world, she started her journey creating her own design studio in San Sebastian. Inspired by the versatility of materials and joy of colours, her creations reveal curiosity and an experimental approach to design and materials. She takes pride in researching and exploring distinctive techniques from the most innovative to the most tradition-bounded. When entering new projects, she designs from three pillars. Functionality. Simplicity. Versatility. These three principles are reflected in the Piezas dining table. The design elegantly combines wood and metal, created to give a sense of simplicity and a strong silhouette. With its dynamic construction, Piezas is extensible and allows you to store the extension under the tabletop.

Piece E Tabula 'Non' Rasa Table by Studio Traccia
Located in Geneve, CH
Piece E Tabula [non] Rasa table by Studio Traccia Dimensions: W 80 x D 80 x H 74 cm Materials: steel. Different combinations are available. The table was designed for our installation called tabula[non]rasa developed for Milan Design Week 2021, with the intent of materializing the potential of circularity through the lens of food waste. It is realized in recycled steel and a special table top material made of food scraps. The material of the table top was developed by MOGU, using a bio-based resin and low-value biomass, such as corn crops, rice straw, spent coffee grounds, waste algae and shells. The design of the table was conceived within the idea of working on modularity while yet shaping something elegant, playful and able to generate unexpected interactions. The pieces can be assembled all together to form a large leaf-shaped table, or can be arranged in creative combinations, to suit different needs, to display objects in a shop, for an exhibition or in a house. The whole table tells a story of circularity: innovative materials crafted into beautiful objects describe a new possible paradigm where resources are not depleted, but reinvested into a new metabolic loops. A new materialism that invents new narratives and form the common ground of our renewed relationships with the planet. And even more than that, a table of discussion that makes visible, the invisible flows of waste, not in a condescending way but with a positive proposal where different and circular logics are actually possible. Studio Traccia is a Milan based studio, founded in 2020 by Claudia Orsetti and Luigi Olivieri. Both have worked for over 10 years around the world, between Tokyo, London, Berlin and Amsterdam, gaining different experiences in a series of international studios such as SANAA, Heatherwick Studio, Tomas Saraceno...
