About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning Ernest Hemmingway Trophy bar and two brown leather revolving bar stools. An absolutely stunning bar, truly sublime, it has a patchwork fossil stone top and worksurface which is surmounted by five cast animal heads of a Water Buffalo, Rhino, Elephant, Lion and Tiger. The cabinet side has four large drawers, two very small drawers, three height adjustable shelves and wine storage for ten bottles. The panels to the front are all aged hand dyed brown leather, the footrest is solid metal and engraved. The timber finish is Catalonia. The stools all have a return swivel meaning you have a huge range of swivel motion and they will always return to the centre. They have metal engraved foot rests, brown leather upholstery and the finish is in the same Catalonia as the bar In terms of the condition we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom. There will be some patina marks here and there from honest use, the two side shelves are new handmade replacements. Mostly its in very fine order throughout Bar dimensions: Height 110.5cm top to bottom, counter height inside 88cm Width 180cm bar frame, including the shoe rail 188cm Depth 82cm X2 chairs dimensions Height 110cm, seat height 79cm Width 59cm Depth 62cm CONDITION Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
