A Rare Pair of Early 19th Century Wine Tables with Brass Inlaid Detail
About the Item
A very rare pair of early 19th Century mahogany, fruitwood and brass inlaid wine tables of exceptional quality, finely hand carved with fabulously rich patination and beautiful grain. The well figured, moulded top of circular form with gallery rail is raised over stunningly carved, ring turned baluster support incorporating a gorgeous fluted spiral twist pattern, gadroon and foliate detail. Supported on concave trefoil base with scroll leg and inlaid throughout with gorgeous brass foliate and flowerhead motifs, terminating on elegant bun foot.
