Please note: Most "Stickley" and “Charles Limbert” items online are reproductions, or outright fakes. For example, in the 1970s, a man named Alfred Audi approached the widow of Leo Stickley before she passed. He purchased the brand name "L&JG Stickley" and opened a factory near Syracuse, NY. He manufactured furniture "In The Style" of the original Stickley.
Both Gustav Stickley and Charles Limbert were a great artists. All of the furniture they made was "Through Tenon" & Pinned. This is why furniture from 120 years ago still looks brand new. Reproduction furniture uses glue to "fool" buyers that it is Through Tenon construction. In the last 50 years or so, many Gustav Stickley, L&JG Stickley, and Charles Limbert pieces have sold for $100,000 or more. They are true collectibles, but need to be in perfect shape and "untouched" condition. This is what makes them investment pieces.
We offer many decorative antique items, you do NOT see around and we will list thousand item on 1st dibs for Christmas.
We also will list special ANTIQUE PERSIAN rugs, high end and MANY low end rugs for very low price.
We were the first post ANTIQUE PERIAN rugs on the internet on ebay.
BTW - We have over 5,000 pieces of Real Stickley and Limbert furniture. We buy predominately from collections in New York and Pennsylvania. We buy only the best. We pay a little more than other dealers, but we get only the very best. We don't deal with "problem" furniture.
