About the Item
Unusual George III inlaid rosewood and specimen wood parquetry work table, circa 1800.
The hinged rectangular parquetry top inlaid with specimen woods in a lattice pattern and over a simulated frieze drawer fitted with a keyhole and raised on square tapering legs joined by a concave box-stretcher. Various timbers include: satinwood, ebony, kingwood, and burr yew with boxwood stringing throughout. (Lacking original slide and bag).
Measures: 18.5" wide x 15" deep x 28.5" high

A handsome and authentic looking reproduction. Giltwood frame with fluted, tapered legs, Greek key apron, and rosette corners. Marble top sitting on top.
Condition: Very minor nicks to the edges of the marble top with scuffing and old repairs filled with putty. Structurally sound. Some minor nicks to gilt on legs and apron.
