Early 19th Century Swedish Tilt Top Gateleg Table

About the Item

Once used for serving tea, drinks, or desserts during dinner parties and gatherings in the past, this table’s unique design allows it to be neatly tucked away when not in use. Featuring a beautiful shade of “Swedish pink” paint, with a dry-scraped finish, this one-of-a-kind table is the perfect centerpiece in any room. Supported by a gateleg, the top lays nicely offering a flat surface, making it a wonderful accent table. Should you need to move the table elsewhere, simply fold in the legs and tilt the top up. Well-crafted, sturdy, and functional. The table features the original “Swedish pink” paint (we would describe this color as a shade of red) on the top and body, with the original black paint covering the underside. Overall wear is consistent with age and use, with no structural damage. Measures approximately 36” W diameter x 30.25” H when open; 36” W x 10.5” D x 47.25” H when closed.
