This would have been an absolute staple in any Fine English home, it would have been used by the butler to serve your lunchtime snacks on. This one is a bit more special than the norm as it has the famboo frame, the famboo stands for "fake bamboo" during the late 18th and early 19th century the British Empire started exporting fine antiques from China, we were obsessed with everything oriental, as such our craftsman started copying the materials used in the orient, in this instance they carved the bamboo affect in hard wood This piece has been deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and polished from top to bottom, it will naturally have some age and use related patina marks here and there, there is a loss of timber in the scalloped edge as you can see, i can have this fully restored should the new owner wish for the cost price Dimensions Height:- 60.5cm Width:- 59cm Depth:- 41.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
