About the Item
In 1963, Danish architect Hans Bølling designed a simple, elegant, and mobile table, which was easy to handle. Since then, it has become a symbol of the playful functionalism of the golden Danish Modern era – and a design idea that is still relevant today. A Danish classic.
Veneer is created from natural hardwood, which is bonded to a stable composite base material. In comparison to bigger woods, it comes in many different variants and textures and has a longer life, as it is not prone to the same aging effects. As the veneer is a natural solid wood, it is susceptible to warping and scratches, and care must be taken to ensure there is no blistering or peeling back of the edges. To protect against this, ensure regular light clean-ups.

Born in 1931, Hans Bølling has had a trailblazing career in architecture and design that began in the 1950s. He has been responsible for several iconic Danish designs and buildings throughout his lifelong career.
Hans Bølling attended Carpentry School before graduating as architect from the Royal Danish Art Academy.
Hans Bølling, today in his 90s, remains active in his design work, and works closely with Brdr. Krüger, continuing their collaboration for three generation of the Krüger family.
