About the Item
Shaped paper mache tray mounted on a butterfly hinged tilt top support, based on the French Vendange table mechanism. The black tray has a double border decoration of a gilt anthemion on a yellow ground, and the tray is mounted on its original butterfly bracket base with gilt stencil decorated surface elements. Attributed to Jennings & Bettridge.
