About the Item
Art-Deco Donald Deskey style vanity, full-length mirror. The stunning Palisander Rosewood piece has a full-length beveled mirror, with a small cabinet to each side, each with a drawer and small cabinet. Each side cabinet is topped with a gorgeous removable variegated marble slab and has chrome pulls and a scalloped metal edge. It is attributed to Donald Deskey. Most of the vanity is covered in beautifully figured veneer, with the base painted black. Perfect for your bedroom, dressing room, or even a retail shop.
Donald Deskey (1894–1989) was an influential American industrial designer known for his contributions to Art Deco and modern design. He is best recognized for designing the interiors of Radio City Music Hall and pioneering innovations in furniture, packaging, and lighting. His work blended functionality with sleek, geometric aesthetics, leaving a lasting impact on 20th-century design.
The dimensions are 69.5 in h x 47.5 in w x 13.75 in d. The condition is good, with some chipping to the edges of the veneer and some wear to the metal.
