This elegant piece reflects a Venetian Revival style, showcasing chinoiserie-inspired scenes framed by scrolling foliate motifs, all rendered in soft green and cream tones with a delicate antiqued crackle finish.
The desk features a single center drawer and two side cabinets, each opening to reveal three inner drawers, offering both function and beauty. It rests on fluted Louis XVI-style legs with gilt accents, adding to its refined character. The top is fitted with its original mirrored glass, showing natural age-related spotting consistent with the piece’s vintage charm.
Stamped “Hampton Shops” and “Dorset” on the underside, this piece reflects the fine craftsmanship and attention to detail that Hampton Shops was known for during its production era.
