About the Item
Modernist vanity table designed and handmade in England using traditional furniture making techniques. Completely handcrafted from fully quarter-sawn English oak. Hand dovetailed joints to the main oak box and inner drawer parts. Can also be used as a console entry table etc.
Fixes to the wall via screw holes hidden away behind the drawer. A solid and striking piece of modernist design furniture built to last. Saddle leather finger pull or matching oak handles (see final image)
Finished in durable natural oils.
Also available in Black Walnut & Freestanding version.
Legs easily dismantle/assemble for extra safe transportation.
We design bold and distinctive pieces of furniture – our main objective is combining the design alongside the natural beauty and properties of the raw materials.
These timbers and materials are very carefully chosen for each specific design - maintaining our focus on the benefits, visual impact and strengths of what we use.
Our regular use of English Quartersawn Oak is one case in point. It has been the beloved timber of fine furniture makers across the world for centuries. It is quite costly to produce but gives huge benefits and rewards such as its striking medullary rays and superb stability qualities.
By utilising these wonderful and naturally occurring features with our contemporary designs we aim to continue creating some very distinct, tactile and idiosyncratic pieces.
These are all completely handmade, in very small numbers, by our skilled craftspeople in England.
