Midcentury White and Newton Dressing Table/desk with triple adjustable mirror in light teak with beech trim, 1960s British teak and beechwood dressing table from the late 1960s with stool. This beautiful dressing table is a wonderful example of midcentury British furniture using simple design principles with the addition of elegant recessed handles in beech trim. The dressing table is accentuated by an elegant 3 rectangular mirrors and four drawers and can also be used as a compact desk. The central mirror tilts, while the side mirror, tilt and rotate in all direccions. A stylish and versatile midcentury piece with many more years of use ahead. The mirrors and back rests are easily removable if you prefer to use it as a separate wall mirror ( The hole will be visible at the top) Featuring minimalistic clean lines with Inset Handles and a stunning curved lip to the top of the sideboard. A stunning design, way ahead of its time. Very Stylish Shape & Design. The piece has A Beautiful Grain Running Throughout the front drawers and top that contrast beautifully with the beech trim, legs and handles. The stool has the same designd as the dressing table legs, and it has its original brown velvet fabric. octagonal legs both on table and stool And Would Be A fine & Impressive Addition To Any Home. White and Newton of Portsmouth was one of Britain's forerunning furniture manufacturers of the 20th century. Like many other British midcentury manufacturers, it was heavily involved in the WW2 effort, employing new and innovative technologies in the production of aircraft and parts. Following the war, it returned to furniture making and adapted these new methods into the creation of modern and ergonomic designs. Condition: Restored condition May show minor age wear.
