Scandinavian Modern Tubular Chrome Dresser Set, 1940s

About the Item

A very rare dresser manufactured by Heteka (Helsingin Teräshuonekalutehdas) in Finland in the 1940’s. The model PÖ305 was firstly introduced in Heteka’s 1941 cataloque and became an instant classic, seen in many Finnish hotels and beauty salons during the 1940’s and 1950’s. This dresser comes with a black glass top, and a stool it has been used with for the past decades. They make a stunning pair we couldn’t bare to separate. The classic “Z” stool was designed by Hugo Lundahl in the 1930’s and first manufactured in the city of Norrköping, Sweden, before production was moved to Malmö. The stool features a tubular steel frame and a padded seat upholstered with red vinyl resembling leather.
