About the Item
To understand the behaviour of metallic elements, experiments were done on a variety of different surfaces, both mechanically and by hand. By introducing heat to the metal an oxidation process starts, this process releases an array of colour transforming the metal to warmer bronze tones and oily iridescent colours. It is the methodology developed through these experiments that continues to be applied in the Burned Collection.
Making objects to last, material wise but also in form and colour. There is always a hidden beauty in materials, and the designer set out to try and find these different qualities. All products are designed and produced within the studio.
