7 Hand Painted & Signed Bjørn Wiinblad Porcelain Plates for Rosenthal, 1970s

About the Item

Bjorn Wiinblad, Danish artist, has created this beautiful series for German art glass & porcelain makers Rosenthal for their Studio-Line art edition. Plates from 1975 with the Annunciation, 1976, '77, '78, '79, 1980, then the last one in this set: 1982. The 7 Christmas plates are made from bisque porcelain with the front base colour being always cobalt blue, then all hand decorated and signed in a shiny gold & vibrant colours. Made with extraordinary care, each plate of this time-limited, and non-continued series, come with the signature of Wiinblad. All the plates of this edition come with a hook to be wall mounted, here even in their original packaging.
