An antique Grand Tour faux book of Neoclassical plaster intaglios.
Dating to the early 19th century, this intriguing book encloses twenty-five classically themed Italian medallions on a vibrant green background between two beautiful covers.
A list of works can be seen to the inside of each cover titled ‘Catalogo’, while the faux book spine reads 'Mastrozzi Impronte’ and 'Musei Diversi’, meaning different museums.
The book showcases a characterful timeworn look while the medallions display an elegant lightly weathered finish. A perfect decorative piece evoking style and intrigue.
