A large-scale 19th century Asian Moorish Turkish Persian tin copper round tray platter.
Antique Turkish Moorish tinned copper circular metal decorative tray.
Antique large Tinned copper ottoman Turkish tray.
Antique Turkish tinned copper circular form tray with deeply scalloped hand-hammered edge, with incised decoration consisting of a central medallion, geometric patterns and interlocked straps. Very unusual handcrafted dark metal color Persian style tray platter with fluted edge we can see the copper showing through probably after years of cleaning and rubbing the metal, bluish green patina.
The tinned copper bronzed dark patinated metal tray is hand-etched and hand-hammered with interlacing geometrical and floral Moorish designs.
Circa 1900 or earlier. Turkey.
Dimensions: 40" D × 1.50" H.
Will fit any Middle Eastern, Mughal Raj India, Moorish or Moroccan style decor, could be used indoor or outdoor as a tray table.
Great example of Islamic Art, Folk Art, Asian Metalwork.
Heavy gauge tinned copper with a substantial scalloped rim.
This is a wonderfully distinctive large scale tray, will make stunning top for a coffee table or cocktail table.
It is also fitted on the reverse to be hung on the wall as a singular piece of decorative art.
The tinned copper bronzed dark patinated tray is etched and hammered with interlacing geometrical and floral Moorish Raj Islamic designs.
Condition: this piece is left in its original antique patinated look and shows expected signs of age and use, blue and green patina, we did not try to clean it or polish it.
Dark grey colors, brown, blue and green patina, silver copper hues, beautifully aged.
