About the Item
I have received a very cool wooden Bowl.
This is probably a wooden bowl made in China, Korea, or Taiwan, rather than a Japanese item.
It's very dry.
It must have been exposed to rain and wind for quite some time.
It is thought to have been made after the late 19th century.
I don't know the material, but it's hard wood such as zelkova.
There is one part with a crack.
Please see detailed images.
The back side is coated with a thin layer of paint and has a glossy finish.
Although it is not practical as a wooden Bowl, it can be used as an attractive interior decoration by displaying it on the wall.
Items like this are difficult to obtain.
This is a rare item.
