About the Item

Product Description: The Birger Kaipianen wall plate on offer is a unique and rare piece made in his early period. Birger Kaipiainen was designer who worked on the design "Palatissi", a very famous series produced by Arabia. He was active in the art department of Arabia between 1937 and 1988 and worked on many works in his atelier, many of which were not mass-produced. His unique pieces are exhibited in various countries. Works of Arabia by the hand of Briger Kaipiainen have always been so popular that the atelier was always empty with not many products staying on the shelves. The designs of Birger Kaipianen went through different stages. His early works in the 1940s were portraits and landscapes. In the 1950s, many works were made with ceramic beads. In the 1970s, many fruits and plants such as Palatissi were seen. In the late 1980s, many flowers and insects were drawn. Product Condition: There are two small chips on the edge of the plate, there are also some pinhole-shaped dents visible on the plate. In addition, there is a dent made at the time of manufacturing in one place. Although the plate is aged and there is some natural deterioration present the work is of good quality. Weight: 1023g.
