The Blue Squares Quilt, Vibrant Handmade Patchwork by Tra-La-La Quilts

About the Item

Bursting with color and life, The Blue Squares Quilt by Tra-La-La Quilts is a joyful celebration of handcrafted artistry. Measuring 125cm x 99cm (49” x 39”), this vibrant quilt is a stunning decorative piece. Inspired by Liza Prior Lucy’s Jewel Squares Blind pattern from Kaffe Fassett’s Glorious Patchwork, it radiates energy through its playful patchwork of jewel-toned squares. Each of the hundreds of fabric pieces in this quilt was meticulously hand-cut and assembled, reflecting the dedication and precision of its maker. The design invites exploration, featuring whimsical details like butterflies, flamingos, flowers, and other charming motifs, making it a particularly delightful addition to a children’s room as a wall hanging or decorative accent. Its cheerful composition encourages discovery and adds an element of wonder to any space. Crafted with 100% cotton fabric and bamboo batting, the quilt combines machine piecing with large stitch hand-quilting and hand-knotting. The lightweight bamboo batting ensures it lays beautifully flat. Whether displayed on a wall, draped over a chair or bed, or used as a centerpiece in a cozy reading nook, this quilt brings warmth and personality to any interior. Care Instructions Dry cleaning is recommended to preserve its vibrant colors and integrity. Alternatively, it may be gently machine-washed on a cold wool cycle using color catchers and mild detergent. Air dry flat to maintain its shape. With its bold colors, playful details, and hand-stitched craftsmanship, The Blue Squares Quilt is a joyful, one-of-a-kind quilt that will brighten any home while serving as a lasting reminder of the beauty of handmade artistry. It is a piece that promises to inspire and delight for generations to come.
