British Sailor's large woolwork of HMS Brunswick, Made by J. H. Miller, Brixton, Circa 1865 The large-scale sailor's woolwork depicts an image of a Royal Navy Second Rate Battleship. By repute she is the HMS Brunswick launched in June 1855 with eighty guns, screw propulsion and a crew of seven hundred and fifty. She was last in commission in 1860 and sold 1867. Hand written label on reverse reads: this piece was exhibited at Floral Hall, Covent Garden, in 1861 and made by J. H. Miller, Brixton. Now with Museum UV Glass Dimensions: 28 3/4 inches x 39 1/3 inches (73 x 100cm).
