About the Item
The fantastic and rare Japanese poster for Francois Truffaut's classic adaptation of Ray Bradbury's novel Fahrenheit 451. Fabulous Japanese design featuring typically wonderful montage imagery using bold, strong colours and hand-crafted typography.
The British dystopian drama film directed by Truffaut and starring Julie Christie, Oskar Werner, and Cyril Cusack takes place in a controlled society in an oppressive future, in which the government sends out firemen to destroy all literature to prevent free-thinking. Truffaut's first colour and his only non French-language film was nominated for the Golden Lion at the 27th Venice International Film Festival.
This original movie poster has been professionally linen-backed and is sized 20 x 29 inches (22 x 31 inches including the linen-backing). It will be sent rolled (unframed).
