19th Century French Hand Painted Terracotta Woman Figure Wall Plaque
About the Item
This rectangular, antique terracotta wall plaque was crafted in Provence, France, circa 1860. The colorful wall hanging cameo features a woman's profile in high relief set inside an oval medallion. The outside frame is decorated with hand painted flowers and leaves to add to the feminine quality of the piece. The decorative piece is in excellent condition and has its original patinated painted finish in the beige, brown and blue-green palette. This ceramic work of art would make a beautiful addition to a bedroom, bathroom or powder room.
