About the Item

Late 18th century engraving of the "Cascade of Terni", English. Drawn by J. Smith & engraved by W. Byrne & B.T. Pouncy. John (Warwick) Smith, OWS; England; 1749-1831. His watercolors of falls were particularly impressive. This was from his visit circa 1784. Known as "Warwick" from the patronage of the Earl of Warwick who sent him to Italy for 5 years.
