Mid-Century Italian Hand Painted Blue and White Faience Platter Delft Style
About the Item
This large antique circular charger was crafted in Italy, circa 1960. The important ceramic wall hanging plate depicts a outdoor pastoral scene with peasants talking in a village with farmhouses around. The border is further embellished with cherub and floral motifs in the traditional Delft decor. The platter is hand painted in the classic blue and white Delft palette. The decorative majolica wall decor is in excellent condition with soft pastel colors; a must for any blue and white lover! Hang it on a wall or display it on a shelf in a den, kitchen or study!
