18th Century French Blue and White Hand Painted Faience Delft Vase
About the Item
This important antique vase was crafted in France, circa 1780. Octagonal in shape with gadrooned body style and a tall neck, the elegant potiche features a hand painted medallion depicting an outdoor courting scene in the traditional blue and white Delft palette; it is further embellished with shell and floral motifs throughout. The large flower pot is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns rich patinated color. A must of any blue and white lover! Stamped W on the underside for further authentication.
