About the Item
Born at Taxco Mexico, Salvador Teran (1920 – 1974) received early training at William Spratling’s Taller de Las Delicias. In 1939 he and his cousins ??left Spratling and established Los Castillo. Salvador often worked anonymously, without labeling his work. Having been at Los Castillo for thirteen years, in 1952, Salvador decided to leave for Mexico City to establish a new company Salvador . Focusing on native Mayan images. These trays are probably part of that era. Glass mosaic in hammered brass frames. Showing In un polished original patina.
