The beauty and originality in this modern work of art is that the entire frame is mostly filled with old and antique bits and pieces from locks, clocks and what not. For the old and antique to be incorporated in (and turned into) a contemporary work of art, to us, is what is so fresh and original about this piece. Unfortunately we don't know who the artist is, but for a unique work of art we have again priced it very fairly.
