A view from a balcony by Lambro Ahlas.
Charcoal pencil on paper. Matted in a black matte under glass in a thin gilt frame.
Ahlas was a California-born artist of Greek ancestry. He was trained at the California College of Arts and Crafts and New York's American Art School. He toured southern Europe for several years in his early career. This drawing could possibly be from that period.
Signed Ahlas to the lower right.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. With some toning to the paper and a very few scraps of floating paper trapped in the frame. Not observed outside frame. Frame with light edge wear, some fine and light surface scratches and other signs of light wear consistent with age.
