About the Item
Showing a mastery of the nude figure, this pencil drawing by Anne Neumark, dated 1930, shows a pyramid of nude male and female figures, climbing a rocky outcropping on the edge of an Art Deco city with multiple stepped-back skyscrapers. Neumark was a painter and muralist, and did work at the Edgar Allen Poe Shrine in Richmond after it opened in 1921.
