Frank Poole Bevan (1903-1976) Studied at Yale and a Professor of Theatrical Design, Yale School of Drama from the 1930's through 1971. Offering an annotated and signed original costume design watercolor, 10.50 x 8" (framed 15x12x1.25")
Bevan's works and Papers are in the Yale's Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library.. Two works are in the Morgan Library and Museum. These designs were never meant to be sold, making his work exceedingly rare to the market. In 1971. in honor of Bevan's retirement, the Wright-Hepburn-Webster Gallery NYC held an exhibit titled "The School of Frank Bevan". Framed and with a Worcester Mass. gallery label.
