About the Item
Władysław Zakrzewski - In the years 1922-1924 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków under the supervision of Władysław Jarocki and Józef Pankiewicz, and in the years 1926-1930 in Paris at private painting academies. Then, to deepen his studies, he traveled to Constantinople, also visiting Hungary, Romania, Yugoslavia, Greece and Italy. In the years 1932–1937 he studied graphic arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw with Jan Wojnarski.
Initially, he dealt with painting, and from 1932 exclusively with graphics. He practiced metal techniques (copper engraving, etching, aquatint) in one and many colors.
