Peggy Dodds lived in a home in the 1940's in Paterson, New Jersey and used a neighbors detached garage as a studio. The neighbors six children frequently played in the yard and near the garage. They remember the studio being full of mannequins, wild hats and strange still lives. The girls were the subjects of many paintings by the artist. She studied at the Collegiate University, Paterson, New Jersey, Art Students League in New York; studied under Kuniyoshi and H. Mattson.
