Impressive antique pair of beautifully rendered portraits, moody realism against dark chiaroscuro backgrounds, gorgeously framed in giltwood moldings having simple carved hieroglyphic like decoration.
One portrait is a side view of a child holding a doll; the other is a frontal view from the waist up of a young woman with intricate lace shirt.
