Santiago Picatoste Atlas Black, 2021 Enamel on methacrylate Santiago Picatoste (1971, Palma de Mallorca) is a plastic artist and sculptor who was based in Malaga for 10 years. His extensive biography extends back to 1998, with projects, awards, scholarships, collections and exhibitions all over the world. Picatoste’s creative process has always involved spontaneity and alchemy, surging from post pictorial abstraction. He has sculptures publicly displayed in a variety of Spanish cities and participated in ARCO since 2002 and in international art fairs such as Art Verona, Art Bologna, SP Arte (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Art Karlsruhe Art Fair (Germany), and Paint and Press NY (EEUU). In 2013, he won the international painting prize from IBERART, ABC Madrid Museum & The Griffin Gallery in London, and the international sculpture prize from The Gabarron Foundation in the E.E.U.U. Also, he has been awarded a scholarship from the Pilar and Joan Miro Foundation and the House of Velázquez. Every item LA Studio offers is checked by our team of 10 craftsmen in our in-house workshop. Special restoration or reupholstery requests can be done. Lighting can be electrified to the required voltage. Every piece design of LA Studio or new production as they are made with natural materials or made by artisans they may vary in wood color, marble color or wood grain, etc. Take into account that the colors on the furniture may vary depending on the type of lighting and the type of screen from which you see the images.
