About the Item
* Well known as a muralist and portrait painter, Baskerville began his career as an illustrator for the New Yorker in 1925, working under the name "Top Hat". He was commissioned to paint murals for the Wall Street Club and portraits of society figures such as the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and Cornelius Vanderbilt.
