Inspiration from the Danish cobra artists Asger Jorn and Carl-Henning Pedersen About the Danish artist David Bjerre "Everything starts with a random stoke on a canvas. A light curious feeling in the body, What’s going to happen next? Where am I heading? The possibilities are endless. Everything is magical and nothing is impossible as long as I’m ready and willing to grab the moment. My existence is temporarily set on Stand by and the game taking place inside the universe of colors and shapes begins. Like a sensual hike through the land of fantasy. The music is playing in the background, and the scent of coffee shrouds the room while I disappear into the void. Into myself, shutting everything out. My focus is solely on being one with the painting which starts to take form. Suddenly, everything talks to me. Like a symposium where the dialogue is between the colors, the forms and the symbolic meanings slowly appearing on the canvas. Everyone demand that they be heard, wants to be respected, but no part can dominate. No aspect can rule for too long, because the unity, where everything melts together and becomes something new, is of utmost importance. I look inwards and outwards to find new inspiration for the new aspects of the current dilemmas and the meeting between humans and life, seen through the perspective of the colors. Humility is important, for what is new? What is relevant? What is beautiful and magical? It’s so simple. Despite this, the ascent has to be done, and each time, new ways are discovered. Important questions must be answered while the thoughts are dancing salsa on the canvas. All of a sudden, it’s there. The painting, the dream, the history. Perhaps I didn’t realize the last brushstroke was going to be the last. But I sense the moment, where my part has been played and the hike is complete. From that moment onwards, the work is done and lives its own life while being defined solely by the receiver who sees, feels and senses. From that point on, the soul can twist, the tears can be shed, or the smile can stretch from one ear to another. Welcome to my universe."
