A portrait of a lady, stamped on the back by Davy, 83 Newman Street, Oxfords London. The portrait studio begun by Robert Davy in 1799. Charles Davy succeeded his father at 83 Newman St in 1843; his label made the claim that the business had been founded in 1795.
