Attributed to Federico Ballesio (Italian, 19th Century) a fine Italian watercolor and gouache on paper "The Courting". The finely painted watercolor cellar scene depicting a seated maiden playing guitar, a joyful Musketeer standing by the side drinking wine. Signed: Ballesio. A brass plaque on the giltwood frame reads: Ballesio. Signed, circa 1890-1900.
