A fine and original oil on canvas painting by Canadian F.V. Williams, a noted and accomplished writer, illustrator and artist. This painting was presented to Mr. J Mercer with the compliments of the publisher of Bodtrun (?) Canada W.J. Taylor Nov. 6 1917 as the original inscription on the reverse dictates. It is signed in the lower right corner. F.V. Williams who wrote and illustrated for several Canadian hunting and fishing magazines and possibly some American publications in that time period, including Rod and Gun, Sports Afield... Painting is unframed.
