Gery Scalzo Polyhedric Sunbeam Sicilian Poppy Landscape Painting

About the Item

Sunbeam Sicilian poppy polyhedric landcape painting signed Gery Scalzo.. Gery Scalzo’s paintings usually start from real subjects ( often natural landscapes ) that, following his feelings, emotions and “ flashes of memory ” as he calls his past experiences, evolve into new shapes and images. So, the reality of Gery Scalzo is made of images that are superimposed one upon another, filtered by a new space-time dimension, broken into small pieces, where the air rarefies into crystals of light, diamonds and geometrical shapes like prisms and triangles. In conclusion, its sign and its colour describe a real, and at the same time, a dreamy world where the dream meets the reality and the reality the dream in the sense that the reality tries to monitor the dream and to lead it toward that positive part of the existence. Painter and Sculptor, born in Sicily, Gery Scalzo lives and works in Palermo . He has achieved the diploma of artist teacher in pictorial decoration and the maturity of applied art. He has attended the faculty of Architecture and Journalism where he has taught Art and Visual Perception for some years .
