About the artist: Pham Luan was born in 1954 in Hanoi, Vietnam. He graduated from Hanoi Teacher's Training College and is self-taught in visual arts. Pham Luan is currently a member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and the Hanoi Fine Arts Association. He is considered a specialist in oil painting and is one of the leading artists of his generation. Pham Luan is represented by major galleries and regularly exhibits in the United States, Hong Kong, and Thailand. The painting was created for Pham Luan's first exhibition in 1997 and depicts a landscape of the Hanoi region. The painting technique is dynamic, demonstrating the artist's skilled mastery of oil painting. The measurements of this painting with frame are 131 x 106 cm.
