Very beautiful oil on canvas of a sailing boat in front of the city of Constantinople: in the background, we can see the Galata Tower on the right and the minarets of the Blue Mosque on the left.
The artist, Florent Berré, is a Belgian painter born in Antwerp in 1821: he was one of the first Belgian orientalist painters and painted many orientalist scenes and seascapes
This painting is signed lower left.
Perfect condition, old restorations.
