A informative text that details the painting "Cashmere," which sold for $11.1 million, and the circumstances surrounding John Singer Sargent's life and his activities when he painted it. The painting is currently in a private collection. It was completed in c.1908. The painting is of Sargent's niece, Reine Ormond, in an exotic cashmere shawl in seven different poses.
