About

Lori Schouela is a mixed media artist and painter living in Boston. She works with fresh rose petals and lays out hundreds of petals to bring out the imprint of what lies inside. With an evaporation process that the artist invented, spirals of liquid drips and petal edges merge to create an elegant circular appearance. When the petals are removed the beauty of the rose is exposed. The work is created with acrylic paint on Mylar, a shimmery light transparent paper. These stunning rose petal paintings work well in both country and modern décor. The artist works with clients color schemes and materials if needed. These pieces also come in prints of many sizes and colors.
