Wooded landscape, South of France, 1900-25

About the Item

Vintage plein aire oil on paper summer landscape of a wooded scene in the south of France. The painting shows a mastery of depth and a fluidity of brush work with fresh, vibrant color and a proficiency in the manipulation of light. The work has been archival float mounted with a 1-1/2" archival mat under UV filtering plexiglass. The work is signed with Chinese characters, lower right. France, circa 1900-25.
