This beautiful and colourful poster is from 1967 advertising the Loterie Nationale or French National Lottery. Reading "Sur Les Pistes Il Faut Beaucoup D'Efforts Pour Gagner, Une Seule Chance Suffiet Pour Gagner A La Loterie Nationale" or "On the slopes it takes a lot of effort to win, only one chance is enough to win the National Lottery" the poster depicts a skier sliding down the mountain.
The Loterie Nationale created some of the most effective and influential advertisements of the 20th century, beginning in 1933. They were known to hire some of the greatest designers of the era and hence have a wonderful catalogue of iconic designs such as this piece. This 1967 poster features great artwork by Carlotti and is in mint condition.
