About the Item
One of the most iconic & recognisable album artworks of all-time, this beautiful poster for David Bowie's sixth album "Aladdin Sane" was created in 1973. Printed by RCA Records in promotion of the album, this piece features the stunning photograph shot by long-term collaborator Brian Duffy of Bowie as Ziggy Stardust with a lightning bolt across the face and a tear on his collar bone.
The album was Bowie's most commercially successful at the time and was also positively received by critics. Featuring the likes of "The Jean Genie" and "Drive-In Saturday", the tracks are some of the all-time Glam Rock greats.
This original 1973 poster is extremely rare and one of the most iconic pieces of Bowie & rock & roll advertising history.
