Brilliant & very rare poster from 1977 featuring the iconic duo of C3-PO and R2-D2 for the US Department of Health. This public service announcement, known as "Parents of Earth" was rolled out in conjunction with the huge success of the first Star Wars release in cinemas. The US Department of Health used the beloved droids to promote child vaccination against diseases such as polio, whooping cough and measles that were rife at the time.
"Star Wars", or "Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope" is a 1977 American epic space opera film written and directed by George Lucas. The legendary film starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Cushing, Alec Guinness, David Prowse, James Earl Jones, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker and Peter Mayhew launched many sequels, countless spin-offs and influenced generations of film makers.
